Today block 3 just had a work period. There was quite a few people gone because of the ski trip to Assessippi today.

Next week our class will be in the resource from Monday to Wednesday.

Exam Review Stuff

We gotta study. We also have to know when exactly we're going to study. We also got a sheet that tells us exactly what to study on our cum. exercises if we haven't done it already. Making a study schedule is an actual assiignment so make sure you get it done.

Composing & Evaluating Functions

Today we took notes on composing and evaluating functions. We got assigned exercises 48 (1-9), 49 (1-10), and 50 (1-10). Those exercises will be due for the end of this week.

Today in Pre-Calculus Math class, the students received a very helpful formula sheet that should help them study for the next test and the final exam. The rest of the class was a work class.

Today we learnt more about functions, and modelling examples. We were also assigned exercise 45 questions 3-7, and exercise 46 questions 1-9.

In class today we didn't do mental math but we did take some notes. We learned about funtions.
A function is a relation that passes the vertical line test.
A relation is any set of ordered pairs.
A vertical line test- " if the vertical line can be drawn such that at maximum it only ever intersects a single point in the graph of relation, then the relation must be a function."

Today was the first day back. Mr Maksymchuk's sympodium crashed so we didnt have to do anything. Therefore we just had a work period. he talked about the idea of doing all the accelerated math objectives and getting a good final mark. then the idea of only having to do like sixty or so but not getting as high of mark etc.

taday in math class westarted with mental math as usuall and the we averaged them out after that mr. maks went and got some toyes wich were blocks we had to find out the volume and surface area of the cubes we were making then following that we were taught.

After starting the class with some mental math, we learned a bit abot quadrilaterals. There is a problem with the diagram above: Where does the rhombus go? So... we have a bit of homework to do.
1) Get definitions, whatever we need to know, so we can make the venn diagram work.
2) Finish and hand in the worksheet, which well help us complete the venn diagram.

In class today we did mental math and then took notes on sloving rational expressions. To solve these equations you first have to find the L.C.D. Than you have to place the L.C.D by the numerator. Than you must simplify the equation. After that you multiply what is left of the L.C.D by the numerator. Than you divide to find x. There will be notes and voice video to help explain how to do this unit better. For homework the following excersies were assigned:
